The protagonist cautiously explores the lower levels of the Tower of Worship, discovering a dark, inverted pyramid structure and encountering evidence of torture and suffering, including a dying woman named Marj Lendelson who begs for death. After reluctantly granting her request, the protagonist captures and revives one of three robed figures chanting nearby to extract information, all while remaining alert to potential surveillance and threats.
